Did you know that per Amberwood HOA Covenants, trash cans shouldn't be visible from any angle from the street?
Here are ways to not get cited:
- Place trash cans behind your gate.
- Place trash cans in a garage.
- You can also build something to hide the trash cans - please contact the HOA board for approved enclosures.
Did you know you are responsible for the maintenance of the sidewalk in front of your house?
Section 38-21 of the Kyle City Code states the property owner is responsible for keeping a maintained sidewalk, such as mowing and repairing the concrete of the sidewalk. The city can repair the sidewalk but is not responsible for it.
Did you know you may have an easement on your lot that you are responsible to maintain?
Many home owners are responsible for the ditches behind their fence and/or the area on the side of their fence along the road on a corner lot. You may find this information on your plat map which you should have received during closing on your home. If you don't have a copy of your plat map, you can obtain one from Hays County Public Records.
Currently, the HOA as a courtesy mows the easements for storm water. Some parts of the easement have become unmowable do to erosion and/or vegetation. Again, the homeowner is responsible for keeping that area clear of debris and trees for overflow stormwater.
